Cable Railway Made of Sheet Steel
Actually, you need two cable cars to recreate how the originals did their service from 1963 to 2017: as aerial tramways with counter-rotating gondolas at the Eibsee cable car on the Zugspitze. The originals transported up to 45 people at a speed of 10 meters per second. The model (1:43 scale) has a mechanical spring mechanism with a start-stop lever. A 5 meter rope is included. For the return trip, the gondola must be moved.
Rich in detail and carefully crafted. Tin toys from Europe
We do not want to tire of emphasizing how vanishingly small and soon probably completely disappeared the share of mechanical tin toys from European production is. Since the relocation of almost all tin toy production to the Far East, the remaining manufacturers in this country (as well as in the rest of Europe) are often left to fend for themselves. We have collected some of their products: historical car or tractor models and corresponding trailers or a cable car. For the tractors, the company Kovap in Nový Hrádek in the Czech Republic has partly reactivated old tools and is reassembling steel rims instead of plastic ones for us. All vehicles and trailers are in 1:25 scale, so they fit model railroads in 1:22.5 scale. Some classics that were produced for decades, such as the Calculation Ape Consul, have practically disappeared - we have only found a manufacturer in India that still produces it.
