Cat cave wool felt

Cats always seek out a place within the human dwelling where they can feel protected, comforted and comfortable. Cats like to sprawl on old blankets and hide in abandoned cardboard boxes, but their humans would rather offer them something which has visual appeal as well.
These cat caves are made of soft hand-felted new wool. They look at home almost anywhere, and could easily be mistaken for a pillow. And they give the cats a choice between retreating by snuggling into it or draping onto it and keeping the overview. Permeable to air, self-cleansing and hard-wearing.
The climate-regulating properties of new wool make it a pleasant material to have around for both animals and humans alike. New wool is also easy to clean because it is not very absorbent; the scaly surface of the wool fibres and the fat content from the natural lanolin in the wool lend it self-cleaning properties. Regular vacuuming or shaking out will usually suffice, but if necessary, the cat bed can be hand washed at up to 30 °C. The new wool used here comes from New Zealand sheep and is hand-felted into cat caves by a Lithuanian manufacturer.
