This light and soft scarf is traditionally woven by hand in India - from pure wool. The fabric features a striking, colorful check pattern and a fine herringbone pattern in the weave. Due to the rather loose weave structure (and the resulting slightly "wavy" edges), the scarf has a casual appearance. Thanks to its length of 180 centimetres, it can be tied in many different ways. An irregular, narrow fringed edge forms the finish at the ends of the scarf, the sides of the scarf are edged.

Behind the Moismont label, based in Picardy, France, are Martine and Jacques Bijvoet. Through their fashion, the couple champion authenticity and tradition. It is therefore no surprise that their scarves and stoles, garments, and bags blend French textile design with traditional Indian weaving craftsmanship. After all, the original scarf (which, as we understand it, is worn more like a stole) once made its way from the Indian subcontinent to Europe. And to this day, this scarf-making culture remains very much alive in India: yarn-dyeing, weaving, and printing techniques are passed down there from generation to generation—across three carefully distinguished trades, each of which possesses and safeguards its own unique expertise.
