General Information
Sometimes we and our customers are so convinced of a product that we not only offer it immediately in a larger container like this curd soap from Klar, which comes to you in a pack of five. But we also have three other soaps manufactured on their basis: our functional soaps with sulfur, natural brine or birch tar.
Pure and functional: without perfume, without animal fats.
We have Klar make a completely pure curd soap and - on its basis - three old, so-called functional soaps, with the addition of a substance of proven benefit in each case: Sulfur, natural brine or birch tar. The functional soaps you get in this composition only with us.
Klar. Soaps from Heidelberg
At a prosperous time for the old trading city Heidelberg, in 1840, Philipp Klar opened a soap works and store in the city centre at a “Hauptstrasse” address. This address became the cornerstone of a soap tradition which is now in the fifth generation. “At Klar’s”, as the employees fondly refer to the company these days, the best raw materials are processed, with the proven procedures and recipes which have been handed down. The result is soap of indisputable quality, without dyes or preservatives.

The “Best White Curd Soap” from the Klar range. Klar produces this soap in form and recipe close to the original of 1840. Nowadays Klar uses pure olive oil and coconut oil (no palm oil) as the basis of the soap. Moreover, this soap contains no animal fats and certainly no beef tallow, as is otherwise used for curd soap.
