The unopened buds of the clove tree provide this indispensable spice for cooking and baking. Harvested just before they bloom and dried in the sun, they are rich in oil, particularly potent, and highly aromatic. Ours come from Sri Lanka, one of the most important sources of cloves. As a hand-picked product, they have uniformly closed buds and contain very few broken pieces.
