Here comes an archetypal industrial lighting classic that first shone its light on the world in 1933. The name Coolicon stands for "Cooling from Convection". It stands for the principle of the luminaire dome made with large recesses through which the heat from the light source is dissipated. A side effect of this design is that some of the light is also emitted upwards and to the sides.
