Firm and Resilient.
Normally, it’s work clothes that are made from this corduroy – this unsusceptible material withstands extreme stress. In the warp, a strong thread of strength Nm 34/2 is used. This, together with the high weft density – 55 fibres per centimetre – forms a heavyweight, very resilient fabric (500 g/sq m) with great resistance. This arises, on the one hand, from a type of anchoring of the pile yarn in the fabric – a so-called VW-bond – and, on the other hand, from the large quantity of weft fibres. Hiltl, in Sulzbach-Rosenberg, produces for us these men’s pants made of Genoa corduroy thread
With functional details.
The pants come with a moderately wide cut and do without pleats at the waist and turn-ups. The side elastic waistband is covered with the upper material. There are French side pockets and two trimmed back pockets with horn buttons.
Hiltl. First-Class Trousers.
When master tailor Fritz Hiltl founded his trousers’ manufactory in Sulzbach-Rosenberg in the Upper Palatinate in 1955, he could hardly have dreamed that a good 60 years later his company would be selling trousers in more than 40 countries. The basis of this lasting success is the consistent focus on Hiltl’s philosophy: He never wanted to be the biggest on the market, but the best. Production has long since been outsourced to other, company-owned locations far beyond the Palatinate, but the ambition to deliver trousers of uncompromising quality and perfect fit has remained to this day. Regardless, whether you eye up Hiltl’s models for the business world or trousers designed for leisure time, the company delivers on its high claims.
