Normally, it’s work clothes that are made from this corduroy – this unsusceptible material withstands extreme stress. In the warp, a strong thread of strength Nm 34/2 is used. This, together with the high weft density – 55 fibres per centimetre – forms a heavyweight, very resilient fabric (500 g/sq m) with great resistance. This arises, on the one hand, from a type of anchoring of the pile yarn in the fabric – a so-called VW-bond – and, on the other hand, from the large quantity of weft fibres. The pants come with a moderately wide cut and do without pleats at the waist and turn-ups. The side elastic waistband is covered with the upper material. There are French side pockets and two trimmed back pockets with horn buttons.
