Maple wood grows slowly and therefore has a high density and corresponding toughness. In addition, it is very fine-pored and liquids such as fat or oil can hardly penetrate the easy-to-clean surface. The Austrian manufacturer uses domestic maple wood from the Salzkammergut region. To clean, rinse by hand and let dry airy.
Note on care
From painful experience we emphasize once again: wooden kitchen utensils of course never put in the dishwasher or leave in the water, but rinse immediately after use and let dry airy. Occasionally treat with cooking oil.

Good quality, heavy chopping board with juice rim and recessed grips incorporated into the wood made of glued sycamore wood treated with vegetable oil. Maple wood is an ideal timber for use in the kitchen as its pores are extremely fine and liquids such as fat or oil can barely penetrate the surfaces which are easy to clean.
Based on unfortunate experiences, we would like to emphasize: never put wooden kitchen utensils in the dishwasher or leave them to soak in water. Instead, wash straight after use and leave to air dry. Treat with cooking oil occasionally.
