Cyklop uncorking machine

This model goes back to 1929. A specialized machine workshop in Steinbach-Hallenberg in Thuringia is assembling them for us again. Steinbach-Hallenberg is known as the center in Germany for these machines. The "Cyklop" is made from lost wax cast iron and is very heavy. The handle is made of wood, the mechanical action is flawless. All 23 parts, which can all be replaced as needed, can be cleaned at any time and re-greased. And it’s a handsome device. The crank is sidemounted so that pressure and pulling occur simultaneously, requiring less strength for uncorking.
Buying such a device only makes sense with at least one wine tasting per year or to contemplate such a wonderful application of the lever principle. But be careful that for sheer pleasure you don’t start uncorking one bottle after another.
