Desk bookcase steel plate
Stored within easy reach on the desk bookcase
Standing books tend to tip over, stacks of books tend to slip. Keeping books in place by storing or transporting them on a shelf that is tilted backwards rather than using side supports has long been a tried and tested practice in libraries here, as our book trolley documents. In contrast, the small piece of furniture known in the USA as the "desktop bookshelf", which uses the design feature of the inclined shelf for the handset, is still not very widespread. Frequently used books, reference books, notebooks or address books can be stored there. This bookshelf provides the reader with an appropriate service at their preferred reading place - for example on the desk or bedside table - and, with a usable width of 38 cm, holds not only current but also future reading. Nevertheless, it saves enough space so that it doesn't take up the whole desk and can be quickly put to one side if necessary thanks to its handy format. The powder-coated sheet steel version is in no way inferior to the oak desk bookcase, which we have had in our range for some time, in terms of appearance and quality - despite its lower price. The small piece of furniture from Schwerte, whose metal sheets are folded and spot-welded - without any unpleasant sharp edges - does not need any feet: The relatively wide, powder-coated and therefore slightly rough base ensures a good grip on the table.
