    General Information

    Cast zinc from Switzerland.

Zinc was cast from the first third of the 19th century until the early 20th century and was an important material in architecture. It later replaced by other materials. We found a manufacturer who still casts zinc.

    A reminder:

We don’t deliver complete fittings. The handle must be ordered separately.

    Please bear in mind:

Since You may choose from the door handles and knobs, unless otherwise described you must order all other cover plates separately:

We offer standard backplates for German doors with a gap of 72 mm from the keyhole to the center of the grip hole or a set of handle and keyhole rosettes for which there is no standard gap. The backplates we offer are standard for Buntbart locks with a normal door key.

The door handle cross sections are 8 by 8 mm and 7 x 7 mm for the window handles. Those are the normal sizes for contemporary doors and windows.

Unless otherwise indicated the handles are delivered without screws.

From Switzerland. Zinc cast. Even the signs.

Since the first third of the 19th century, we know how zinc is cast. Until the early 20th century, the material still played an important role in architecture, later it was replaced by other materials. We have found a manufacturer who still processes zinc die casting today.
Please note that we do not offer complete sets here: To the door handles, you can optionally combine the separately offered long plates or key rosettes.

    Hint:

Please note: With all our door handles, you have a choice and must therefore, unless otherwise described, order all desired covers separately: either long escutcheons (suitable for room doors with the standard distance of 72 mm between the center of the key and the handle hole, which is common in Germany) or a set of handle and key escutcheons, for which the standard distance does not matter. We offer here the covers for Buntbart locks (normal room key). The door handles have a square of 8 × 8 mm, the window handles have one of 7 × 7 mm. These are the standard sizes for today's interior doors and windows.
