ECM Mechanika V Slim espresso machine

The Mechanika V Slim is the all-round machine for home use from the range of the Neckargemünd espresso machine manufacturer. Compactly built around the ECM E61 brew group with the distinctive stainless steel brewing bell, this machine also fits into smaller kitchens and makes a perfect-tasting coffee there like the professional devices - because Inside its housing, the same extended pre-brew cylinder works, which allows the aroma-enhancing swelling of the espresso grounds in the portafilter under steam.
Only when the brew group lever is turned, water (about 25-30 ml) is pressed through the previously moistened powder.

The machine has two separately operating, precisely tempered water circuits. Circulating water heats the brew group in conjunction with a thermo-siphon system. The Mechanika V Slim holds coffee water at the optimum brewing temperature (93-94 °C) at the same time as it holds hot water for steam extraction - to produce creamy milk foam - for preheating cups or preparing tea. For this, the hot water outlet on the right; the steam outlet is located on the left of the brew group, as in all portafilter machines.

The Mechanika V Slim is ready for use within about 10 to 15 minutes after switching on. Boiler pressure on the one hand and brewing pressure on the other are clearly displayed on two pressure gauges, the powerful vibration pump builds up the brewing pressure from about 4 bar at the beginning to the ideal 9-10 bar for preparing an espresso. By means of an easily accessible expansion valve, the brewing pressure can be fine-tuned individually. The steam and water taps are equipped with color-coded, large and therefore easy-to-use rotary valves, and an indicator light (orange) at the bottom left of the housing lights up as soon as the water supply in the fresh water tank runs low. Pure precaution: If it happens that the tank runs completely empty, the Mechanika V Slim switches off automatically, but is immediately ready for use again after filling and it can continue to draw coffee.
