The ERIK bed is a simple and extremely stable bed frame in the best sense of the word, made of six square steel tubes and two folded steel sheets that are screwed together crosswise at the corners. The steel tube in the middle stiffens the construction of the large bed and allows the use of 2 slatted frames of 80 × 200 cm each. The steel plates on the sides prevent the mattress from slipping. The pragmatic frame is designed for the classic mattress format of 160 × 200 cm. We appreciate the aesthetics of this easy-to-combine and universally applicable bed frame. The archetypal corner construction is familiar: it is based on a wooden construction that has been used by generations of carpenters for centuries. We are most familiar with it from the designs of the Dutch carpenter and architect Gerrit Rietveld. We supply the frame disassembled and with adjustable feet. Metal cover caps for the open square tubes/bed legs are available separately. The frame is designed for 2 slatted frames of 80 cm each with a maximum construction height of 7 cm.
