Finger puppets forest felt
When a manufacturer convinces us, we like to be inspired by their product world to new ideas. Together with Én Gry & Sif we have developed this hand-felted finger puppet set made of pure new wool, which animates with its soft feel and imaginative design for educational role play. These finger puppets are available only from us.
When the forest comes to life
What does the fox experience when he roams among the trees? What are the owl and the dwarf philosophizing about so animatedly? Should I be afraid of goblins in the forest? And what actually happens when the toadstool falls madly in love with the tree?
With these imaginatively designed finger puppets in classic natural colors, the forest comes to life. Simply brushed over the smaller or larger finger, they wiggle themselves cheerfully through exciting, funny and exciting stories. Maybe your child would like to act out completely different situations - just let his imagination run wild, he will unerringly find the best leading role for each figure. Felt by hand from the pure new wool of New Zealand sheep, these finger puppets convey a particularly pleasant feel. And with a little practice, your child can certainly soon let the dolls dance on all fingers.
In the course of a childhood role-playing inheres a special educational value. Your child deals in it playfully with the world and with his own needs, experiences and desires. By taking on the roles of others, your offspring imitates the behavior and language of adults, develops their communication skills and trains their own social behavior in the long term. Whatever occupies your offspring, in role play he can deal with it, affectionately, critically or even once combative - especially if the toadstool wants to win the heart of the tree for himself.
A Fair Collaboration. Gry & Sif
During her backpacking tour through Nepal, the Dane Gry Staunstrup got to know the astonishing openness and warmth of the country’s inhabitants, and their craftsmanship bedazzled her. She was able to observe in detail how adeptly and skilfully Nepalese women felted wool into a wide variety of objects. Staunstrup felt it was time to make something good out of the untapped potential, and an idea was born: to combine Nepalese handicrafts with Danish design. And the idea was immediately followed by action.
The company Gry & Sif started producing a variety of products made of wool felt in Nepal in 2000. The designs created by Gry Staunstrup are as remarkable as they are understated and, characteristic of Danish design, at the same time fresh and merry. Nepalese women turn them into products employing traditional handicrafts. Fair Trade certified by now, Gry & Sif stands for fair wages and working conditions, environmentally conscious production and transparency. The company exclusively sources pure new wool from New Zealand sheep for the felting; each of the resulting products is handmade and unique.
This product is an example of genuine handicraft; therefore, minor deviations in size and colour may occur.
