Garden gnome with swing

This small, hand-painted garden gnome, which squats firmly on his swing, can actually be put into swinging - if you hang him on the sturdy cord in tree or bush or perhaps on a hook in the arbor wall. The decoration possibilities are therefore almost limitless.

A real garden gnome is always molded from clay and baked in the fire (and not cast from plastic). He is at home in Gräfenroda in Thuringia. There, fortunately for us, his production has passed from the hands of the traditional manufactory Griebel, founded in 1874, to the "Zwergstatt" - otherwise the clay garden gnomes would soon no longer exist.
Our garden gnomes receive their clay hollow bodies in plaster molds and their colored shape brushstroke by brushstroke by hand. To protect them from weathering, they are still covered with a layer of clear varnish.
