Glassine is a paper made from pure cellulose. It is a type of parchment paper and, like parchment paper, is very similar to real parchment. This one is a highly pure, natural brown glassine made from unbleached cellulose - completely free from chemical additives. It is breathable, heat-resistant (up to around 200 °C), greaseproof, tasteless and absorbs condensation. In other words, it can be used in a variety of ways as cling film, in the fridge, as baking paper (although greased in this case), as sandwich paper and generally as an aesthetic replacement for plastic and aluminum foil.
