Soft, GOTS-certified cotton is combed for these towels, spun into fine yarn (Nm 24/2) and woven into voluminous (genuine) terry cloth. With an average basis weight of 550 g/sqm, the towels are pleasant to the touch and highly absorbent. The soft color gradient is created by using jacquard weaving machines and dyed yarn - it is woven, not printed, which makes the colors more durable. And if you like this kind of color gradient as much as we do, then we recommend the wool blankets from the same manufacturer as well as the Gradient bed linen.

Genuine terry towelling is a three-thread woven loop weave (warp, weft and loop), which is much bulkier and more absorbent than the two-thread (warp and weft only) terry towelling, which is only similar to terry. As opinions differ on towels and we want to cater for those who like soft towels as well as those who appreciate rougher fabrics, we offer terry towels in different qualities in our range: from soft and fluffy to voluminous and yet grainy to the touch to a hard-wearing linen-cotton quality (our linen terry), which you will rarely find today.

We specify the yarn count in Nm (metric number), whereby the higher the number, the finer the yarn. A yarn count of Nm 100 means that 100 meters of yarn weigh 1 gram. An additional number is added if the yarn is twisted from several single yarns, for example Nm 100/3 for a yarn made from three single yarns.
