This useful utensil produces perfectly formed meat patties in two steps: the meat mixture is placed in the lower part of the press, then the upper part is placed on top and locked in place with the bayonet catch. Pressing lightly on the plate-shaped handle then forms the meat into an even, flat slice. We obtain the die-cast aluminium and stainless steel hamburger press from an Italian metalworking company that has been manufacturing kitchen utensils on Lake Orta in Piedmont for 50 years. Even in the early days, the company was involved with a product that has since become an Italian classic: They produced parts for the Moka Express by Alfonso Bialetti, the ubiquitous Italian espresso pot with the faceted aluminum body for the kitchen stove.
