Efficiently rake, loosen and aerate
The hand cultivator keeps what its name promises - with the help of its three long, powerful tines, it digs through (almost) any soil. Thus it loosens incrustations, loosens compaction and brings air to the roots, and it proves itself in the densely planted garden bed as well as in the raised bed box. The handy size of this forged tool also enables mobile use in grave maintenance. It is manufactured in a more than 220-year-old forge in Upper Franconia.
Garden tools with character
With forging, the Krumpholz family knows its stuff. Based in the Franconian Forest, the ancestors acquired the first hammer mill of their own - the Guttenberg Hammer - in 1799 and produced tools and other everyday items from forged iron. Today, the company's fortunes are in the hands of the eighth generation. The garden tools that leave the production site, which is still in its old location but has long since been modernized and enlarged, are tools of the first order: shaped under the weight of the forge hammer to suit their area of use, compacted and reinforced where necessary, provided with sharpened edges or blades and fitted with high-quality handles made of ash wood. Free-form forging, as practiced at Krumpholz, requires special skill and a sense of proportion. The steel used, a Swedish steel with chrome-molybdenum content, is tough, strong and easy to clean.
