Every real snowflake is unique—and so the craftsmanship behind these porcelain snowflakes creates individual shapes in small details. The pendants are hand-drawn from liquid porcelain. For their design, Anna Badur draws inspiration from the shape of natural ice crystals that make up snowflakes. At the same time, the porcelain designer goes beyond the natural model and skillfully guides the liquid “white gold” into her own crystalline patterns. After the snowflakes have set, they are fired but not glazed. This gives them that elegant, pure white hue that stands out softly and infuses your winter and Christmas decorations with crisp accents. “Silently falls the snow” thus also in your festive decorations, without having to let in ice and frost—whether you integrate the porcelain snowflakes into your tree decorations or let them drift down from a branch in the window, whether you use them to decorate your festive table or add the wintery finishing touch to your gift wrapping.

Thanks to its delicate malleability and flawless surface, porcelain has stood for centuries as a symbol of the highest craftsmanship and exquisite beauty. It is made from a mixture of fine kaolin, quartz, and feldspar. The brilliant white color for which porcelain is known can be attributed to the purity of the kaolin used. The art of porcelain making lies, among other things, in combining the individual components in the right proportions. Fired at temperatures sometimes exceeding 1,000 °C, the result is a white, hard material. Unglazed, as designer Anna Badur uses it for her porcelain objects, the matte surface of the porcelain transforms every ray of light into soft, diffused light and allows the characteristic white to glow gently.

Certain manufacturing steps are carried out by hand. Slight dimensional and color deviations may therefore occur.
