If you ever want to smooth something.
For example, to prepare a smaller bed area for direct seeding. Then this handy tool with the forged tines made of manganese-boron steel is the device of your choice. The hand rake crushes, loosens and aerates the soil, assists in leveling and also likes to prove its abilities in harder soils. Thus, its field of application is not limited to raised beds. In all this, the ash wood handle is very comfortable to hold. The rake is manufactured in a forge in Upper Franconia, which can look back on over 200 years of family tradition.
Garden tools with character
With forging, the Krumpholz family knows its stuff. Based in the Franconian Forest, the ancestors acquired the first hammer mill of their own - the Guttenberg Hammer - in 1799 and produced tools and other everyday items from forged iron. Today, the company's fortunes are in the hands of the eighth generation. The garden tools that leave the production site, which is still in its old location but has long since been modernized and enlarged, are tools of the first order: shaped under the weight of the forge hammer to suit their area of use, compacted and reinforced where necessary, provided with sharpened edges or blades and fitted with high-quality handles made of ash wood. Free-form forging, as practiced at Krumpholz, requires special skill and a sense of proportion. The steel used, a Swedish steel with chrome-molybdenum content, is tough, strong and easy to clean.
