Quite unmistakably, this Italian ice cream maker is more than a household appliance, namely a machine for professional use, which inevitably makes you a serious competitor for the gelateria around the corner - without that there, however, would have to fear sales losses, because the produced quantity remains household manageable. The quality, however, is of rare, first-class quality; as a rule, the gourmet only finds comparable products in the top gastronomy. The machine has been built for forty years and almost unchanged by Musso in Mortara, Lombardy, a specialist for compact professional machines. By the way, demand at Musso clearly exceeds capacity. It would probably be possible to produce more, but rigorous quality assurance sensibly forbids such temptations. This means that we, too, were unfortunately only able to order a small stock with great effort; the usual and, from our point of view, unbearable insistence on a quick purchase decision is therefore justified here for once.
The easy-to-operate, extremely reliable compressor machine produces creamy ice cream with the finest (i.e. imperceptible even to sensitive tongues) ice crystals. A homemade ice cream that is second to none, without any "additives" that promote consistency and shelf life, and therefore extremely delicious. Unlike ice cream machines for home use, the housing is made entirely of stainless steel (including the stirring spatula, of course). The powerful motor can cope with the heaviest loads and continuous operation, stoically keeping the mixer on course even when competitors on the market have long since given up. You will test the machine's endurance very often once you have licked the ice - we are sure of that. And you will also gladly accept the fact that it does not need to be hidden in the kitchen; unlike many things that are sold under the heading "ice cream maker", it is far too handsome for that.
As befits a professional
Cleaning is easy because the entire upper part with ice container was seamlessly molded from one piece and the agitator is dismantled by screw in seconds. Needless to say, there is no cold contact agent as with removable ice bins. We almost forgot: "ice cream maker" is a very subtle understatement, since in addition to fruit and milk ice cream, the finest sorbets and frozen yogurt can also be made, and in any firmness level. And if you ever want to prove to the gelateria that you too can quickly make several types of ice cream in one day, we recommend our stainless steel storage tins. Up to one day, the ice cream remains durable without much loss of quality, but becomes a little firmer depending on the freezer.
Creamy. Vanilla ice cream
Very easy to make is the classic among the cream ice creams - the vanilla ice cream. For about eight servings, blend 1/8 l milk, 200 ml cream, 80 g sugar, 2 packets vanilla sugar and 2 eggs in a blender until homogeneous. Pour into the ice cream maker and freeze for 20-30 minutes until the desired consistency is reached. A tip: It is recommended to chill the ice cream mixture in the refrigerator for some time before preparation.
