What is true of Japanese knives is also true of Japanese scissors: they are exceedingly sharp because they are made of carbon steel. This one is also - as you can easily see from the stamped characters - made by hand, from forging to grinding and polishing to final assembly (but it doesn't say it in quite that much detail). Simple and shaped according to the hand anatomy, made of solid metal and equipped with a strong torsion spring, the scissors with their hardened blades are suitable for cutting perennials, roses and woody plants (up to 2.5 cm branch diameter).
