Knights castle alder wood
Taken by storm
Such a knight is exceedingly strong and virtuous. Undaunted, he protects the helpless and defends his emperor and king. Storming through the world on his faithful warhorse, he bravely wields his sword against the enemies of the realm and throws his lance against the dragon, no matter how much fire he breathes. And when he has finished his adventurous day's work, the knight must eat, sleep and recharge his batteries like any other man. And where does he live? Of course, in a castle.
Defiant walls and high battlements, towers and gates make up a knight's castle. For the one fiend may be defeated one, but dangers lurk everywhere and therefore a castle must be extremely defensible - like this knight's castle made of alder wood, which junior knights*innen in the storm for themselves.
Massive dwelling, free to design
From the solid wood of the native alder, these individual building blocks of this knight's castle are made with great care in the workshop of a social therapeutic living community. Each building block is individually sawn, carved and sanded, all edges are carefully rounded. Some of the work processes are divided into very small parts, so that the employees can contribute to the product according to their respective skills and strengths. Made purely by hand, no two castle parts are exactly alike. Of course, the individual parts can always be put together to form a castle, but its architecture is still more than the sum of its parts. Playfully challenge the building blocks the constructive creativity of your offspring, if he combines the building blocks freely and flexibly.
And since children discover the world with all their senses, the surface of the building blocks is just as unusual: Partly it still has the original bark of the alder trunk and thus offers a particularly differentiated haptic experience. The bark is firmly attached to the wood, and any loose parts are removed by careful brushing. The varied impressions that the rougher barks convey next to the smoothly polished wood, train the sense of touch of your offspring particularly sustainable.
