Made from soft, non-slip Wernebi nappa leather, the bag reliably holds together what the fashion world celebrates as "essentials": From lipstick and powder compacts to keys, cell phone and wallet, you'll find your most important utensils within easy reach. The zipper running across the entire width, strikingly set off in a lighter blue, gives you quick access to the inside of the bag, which continues the purism with undivided attention, revealing the unlined suede side and thus nestling gently and protectively around your essentials. Last but not least, the handbag proves to be a little quick-change artist: although the length of the narrow shoulder strap is not adjustable on its own, you can, if you wish, undo the knots underneath the side flap and re-knot the strap to your desired length or remove it completely to use the bag as a clutch or as an in-bag in between.

The Palatinate-based family business Werner has been working with leather since it was founded in 1911. Werner only uses hides from Alpine cattle from controlled organic farming, which are tanned in German tanneries using vegetable and chrome-free processes. Modern processes such as olive leaf tanning are also used, which involves tanning with a purely vegetable extract from olive leaves. Thanks to the high quality of the raw materials and the vegetable tanning process, the leather retains its natural character and supple feel. The many years of experience with the natural material is also reflected in the designs and processing. From the first cut to the last seam, the leather is meticulously crafted into bags, belts and shoes, sometimes still by hand. The result is shoes that are comfortable to wear and have a tried and tested fit, as well as handbags with practical details that have been carefully designed. For many years, production took place exclusively in Pirmasens, where the company was founded, but today the "quilters" and "Zwicker" work in south-eastern Europe. The raw materials come from Germany and neighboring European countries, which guarantees consistently high quality and keeps transport routes as short as possible.

Please note that the bag is unlined, so the velour on the inside may initially give off fluff or rub off, as with other leathers. The dark colour on the outside may rub off on light coloured clothing.
