The denim used for this slightly boxy-cut short jacket is made from pure cotton, 76% of which comes from controlled organic cultivation and 24% from recycled material. The denim is a specialty: it is woven by Candiani, a green denim pioneer based near Milan not far from the Parco Naturale Valle Ticino-Piemonte. Due to its proximity to the nature reserve, Candiani was forced to comply with strict environmental regulations back in the early 1970s, which is now proving to be a real competitive advantage. Armedangels has crafted the denim jacket from this "green" denim with a slightly dropped shoulder, a patch pocket and a button fastening at the back.

Designing fashion differently (and better), conserving resources instead of exploiting them and creating designs that complement the wardrobe in the long term - that was the plan of Martin Höfeler and Anton Jurina, the founders of the Cologne-based label Armedangels. Or to quote CEO Höfeler: "I actually just wanted to prove that it is possible to build a company that is profit-oriented and at the same time promotes good causes." And what began in 2007 with a simple white T-shirt has long since become a successful fair fashion label. Armedangels combines ecological materials, transparent supply chains, durable design and fair working conditions. This fairness is regularly checked by several independent organizations. Armedangels has been awarded the Fair Trade and GOTS seals. The label is also part of the Fair Wear Foundation.
