The jumpsuit is fascinating: Originally developed as workwear for skydivers (hence the name), fashionable variations began appearing as early as the 1930s. In the 1960s and 1970s, it even became a symbol of the feminist movement, as it was seen as an expression of equality and independence. In the 1980s, it became a popular disco outfit, and more recently it has been experiencing another renaissance—though, to be honest, it never really went away. Alma & Lovis crafts this jumpsuit with a V-neck, three-quarter sleeves, a single pleat on each side, and straight, wide legs. A dividing seam at the waist and a tie made from the same fabric give it a flattering fit. Two side pockets hold small everyday items. The fabric is a supple piqué jersey with a flowing drape. It consists largely of breathable viscose, supplemented by a small amount of spandex for even more elasticity and shape retention. On the back, the jumpsuit features a keyhole neckline that extends to the middle of the back and fastens with a mother-of-pearl button.
