Ladies parka EtaProof®

This long, unlined parka is made of EtaProof®. The two-ply gabardine comes with wax impregnation and is generously cut so that you can wear the parka as an overcoat as well. It features a doubled shoulder yoke; there is a buttonable flap over the zipper, and hidden elastic bands in the sleeve hems hold the fabric in place against all weathers. You find a buttoned drawstring on the inside to adjust the width of the parka at the waist. At the elbows, small movement pleats ensure a comfortable fit of the sleeves.

EtaProof® is the much-praised cotton cloth from Switzerland, developed by the Zurich weaving mill, Stotz. The highly breathable fabric is appreciated by outdoor enthusiasts, the military and polar explorers alike. The protective properties of the fabric keep everything dry, so long as the rain is not coming straight down from the sky in sheets. The fabric, which is moderately impregnated with a wax-based material, uses the same protective principle as waterproof parachute silk. It is woven so tightly that the fibres swell on contact with moisture and water droplets simply run off on the surface.
