Lanius makes them up with a high waistband, extra-wide belt loops and mid-rise darts on the legs that reach down to the knees. The skin-friendly, easy-to-wear fabric is made from organic cotton, linen and TENCEL™, with a little elastane for added comfort. The trousers are fastened with stone nut buttons and a plastic zipper. They have two slit pockets at the front and (for the sake of appearance) two blind back pockets. And last but not least: These pencil trousers can be combined in a variety of ways.

The work of fashion label Lanius is influenced by three factors: first, a style characterised by sophisticated designs and forms, secondly the use of certified raw materials and thirdly the guarantee that all garments have been produced under fair working conditions. Depending on the garment, one factor may get centre stage, but the other factors don’t move out of the focus – however, importance is always attached to outstanding quality both in terms of materials and finish. The label was founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius, who works on all her ideas and designs in her Cologne studio; she has them developed by her team and then assembled by producers in several countries.
