A sporty-elegant as well as simple shoulder bag in the style of a bucket bag, which makes a good figure for a variety of occasions, depending on the combined clothing. Particularly practical: the bag is equipped with two removable straps - a long shoulder strap and a short, doubled carrying strap, so that it can be worn like a handbag. Made of strong cowhide with a large square bottom, it has stable footing and retains its shape when put down. As a result, it always offers a good view of its spacious main compartment with a side zipper pocket and a slip pocket. The bag tapers to the top and closes with a zipper. It is lined with the blue and white striped cotton twill characteristic of O My Bag.
The vegetable-tanned, slightly shiny leather has a supple feel despite its strength. The surface remains largely natural and therefore shows irregularities in coloration as well as structure. Over time, it will develop an individual patina and show the traces of your everyday life (scratches and the like). The open leather edges of the straps are sewn in saddler stitch and carefully sanded, polished and waxed.

Support Trade, Not Aid. These words, heard by Paulien Wesselink during her studies, would one day be the basis for her bag brand O My Bag. Since 2011, the philosophy behind her company has been based on principles that are as simple as they are ambitious: to create beautiful bags that are made with respect for the environment and people. But this does not only apply to O My Bag. The Amsterdam-based label works exclusively with companies that follow the same principles. Production takes place in Kolkata, India - a conscious decision to offer local producers and their families fair wages and access to the global market. The design is created in Amsterdam.
The bags from O My Bag are characterized by a clear, functional style that is timelessly contemporary and corresponds to the durability of the material from which they are made: high-quality, vegetable-tanned leather. For Paulien Wesselink, leather is still the most sustainable option due to its low environmental impact when tanned and dyed in an eco-friendly way. In addition, GOTS-certified cotton is used, but the label is also open-minded about innovative, environmentally friendly materials: since 2021, O my Bag has been making bags and purses from AppleSkin™, a vegan leather alternative.
