Cashmere is obtained from the underhair of the cashmere goat and is one of the softest, finest and lightest animal fibers of all. The valuable fiber is extremely warming, temperature balancing and does not scratch the skin, which is why especially wool-sensitive people appreciate it. For this sweater Lanius uses cashmere from controlled organic animal husbandry. It is worked with raglan sleeves and ribbed knit cuffs at the neck, sleeves and torso.

The work of fashion label Lanius is influenced by three factors: first, a style characterised by sophisticated designs and forms, secondly the use of certified raw materials and thirdly the guarantee that all garments have been produced under fair working conditions. Depending on the garment, one factor may get centre stage, but the other factors don’t move out of the focus – however, importance is always attached to outstanding quality both in terms of materials and finish. The label was founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius, who works on all her ideas and designs in her Cologne studio; she has them developed by her team and then assembled by producers in several countries.
