We have known how zinc is cast since the first third of the 19th century. Until the early 20th century, the material still played an important role in architecture, but was later replaced by other materials. We have found a manufacturer in Switzerland that still processes zinc die casting today.

Waste as a raw material supplier: since 2023, zinc obtained exclusively from urban mining has been used for these fittings. In this case, urban mining means processing and recycling urban or industrial by-products such as filter ash from waste incineration plants. In this way, things that we traditionally regard as waste are returned to the economic cycle and can be reused as recycled raw materials. In the future, the manufacturer of our die-cast zinc door fittings would like to use only zinc from the secondary extraction process for all its products, for example recycled zinc from scrap processing.

Please remember: We do not offer complete sets here. You can combine the lever handles with the separately available long plates or key escutcheons.

Please note: With all our door handles, you have a choice and must therefore, unless otherwise described, order all desired covers separately: either long escutcheons (suitable for room doors with the standard distance of 72 mm between the center of the key and the handle hole, which is common in Germany) or a set of handle and key escutcheons, for which the standard distance does not matter. We offer here the covers for Buntbart locks (normal room key). The door handles have a square of 8 × 8 mm, the window handles have one of 7 × 7 mm. These are the standard sizes for today's interior doors and windows.
