The circular beating surface has an advantage: it tilts less than a rectangular surface when in contact with the raw meat; so the meat becomes evenly thin and tender. With the price, however, you do not pay for the amazingly simple beauty of this forged kitchen tool, but only for the richness of the material used (stainless steel), its processing and the glossy polish of the mirror-like and thus hygienic surface. The heavy tool is made in Lombardy.
