Memory Game Meadow Plants
Together with a graphic designer, we developed the illustrations for this memory game based on historical natural science drawings. The detailed, lifelike illustrations are already preparing the next generation to be able to identify a meadow plant in the wild.
Natural science illustrations
The illustrations are taken from the 100-year-old textbook "Die Pflanzen der Heimat" by Otto Schmeil and Jost Fitschen. Schmeil, a biologist, and Fitschen, a botanist, were outstanding personalities in their subjects, and the identification book "Flora Deutschlands und der angrenzenden Länder" (Flora of Germany and the Bordering Countries) (current title), also published jointly, is still the "Schmeil-Fitschen", well-tried standard work of plant identification - it is now published in the 96th edition.
Learn, remember and discover
On the one hand, educators despair time and again when their charges don't know how to identify the plants in the school garden, the birds outside their front door, or other animals; on the other hand, many adults are not much better off. Memory games that combine curiosity and the joy of playing can help this forgotten knowledge of plant physiognomy, zoological diversity and the conscious examination of it - and should not remain unsuccessful for long, just as the joy of recognizing a plant or an animal in the flesh can be the result of this game. We have developed our memory games in cooperation with a graphic designer especially for this purpose. You can get them only from us. Historical scientific illustrations serve as models.
