Mayser makes this hat in a moderate balloon shape from Harris Tweed, the famous hand-woven virgin wool fabric from the Outer Hebrides islands of Harris, Lewis, Uist and Barra. The woven pattern shows a windowpane check in autumnal colors. The cut is remarkable: the crown consists of seven triangles of fabric of unequal width, which follow the natural shape of the head and thus ensure a good and comfortable fit.

When Leonhard Mayser opened his "Hutmacherey" in Ulm in 1800, he could hardly have imagined that Mayser hats would one day become a global brand, with an annual production of 3.5 million pieces in 1963, a record year (unsurpassed to date). Today, the production figures are far lower, but Mayser can still call itself a global brand with sales markets in 44 countries. The secret to the success of the company based in Lindenberg in the Allgäu, the former "Little Paris" of hat fashion, has remained the same for more than two centuries: Quality. While design, purchasing and sales are still based in the Allgäu, production was relocated to Slovakia in 2002. Mayser built its own factory there and also trains its own staff.
