Men handkerchief hand rolled

A really large men's handkerchief, woven from light, white cotton batiste and carefully rolled by hand. This traditional way of working the hem is time-consuming and therefore rare, which is also reflected in the price. When folded up, the handkerchief fits well in the breast pocket of a jacket or in a trouser pocket and is then not only at hand for its original and well-known purpose. Even if you don't use it for blowing your nose, a cloth handkerchief can still be useful. For example, to discreetly dab your lips at a standing reception, to wipe your hands on the go and, last but not least, to wave goodbye on the platform. This cloth handkerchief from Pellens & Loick is suitable for all of these purposes. The fine raw material comes from Malaysia and is processed, carefully cut and rolled in Hungary.

Hermann Pellens and Johannes Loick are blessed with a keen sense of style and men's fashion. In the vibrant metropolis of Berlin, they not only found inspiration for their designs, but also the right conditions, and so in 1870 they started their own company to produce men's accessories. They designed ties, scarves and handkerchiefs themselves, but soon moved production to northern Italy on Lake Como, where silk weaving and printing had a long tradition. However, all accessories continue to be designed at the company's German headquarters, now in Aalen in Baden-Württemberg. Pellens & Loick also set up its own handkerchief factory in Aalen in 1947. From weaving, cutting and hemming to ironing, folding and packaging, everything takes place under one roof. However, competitive pressure from cheap goods and paper handkerchiefs forces Pellens & Loick to give up handkerchief weaving. In order to be able to continue producing handkerchiefs and pocket squares according to its own high quality standards, the company looked for new business partners and found them in Hungary, among other places: a small manufacturing company there now produces a large proportion of the handkerchiefs from fabrics woven in Europe (Austria, Portugal or the Czech Republic), with a small proportion being produced in Malaysia. The handkerchiefs are still picked, i.e. ironed, laid and packaged, in Aalen.
