Men jacket Harvester 1927
Summer fabric, historical cut
The origins of this jacket can be found in traditional workwear of the 1920/1930s. The outer fabric is a cotton-linen melange that is comfortable to wear even in summer temperatures. Pike Brothers has this "smoke grey fabric" woven in Portugal from a historical pattern. The half-lined jacket is cut rather close to the body, and a lengthwise split seam in the back also slims it visually. Three front patch pockets accommodate small items of daily use.
Pike Brothers. Tried and Tested but Not Stuck in the Past.
The Pike Brothers label from Bad Feilnbach in Upper Bavaria proves with garments inspired by textiles from the world of workwear that form and functionality are not mutually exclusive. While creative minds in other companies have to work out their cuts, the Pike Brothers collect, dissect and finally reconstruct historical originals from a wide variety of workspaces. Different material requirements and cuts are taken into account on a one-for-one basis. Fabrics are reissued in collaboration with traditional weaving mills. Finally, the Pike Brothers have the garments made by hand from selected European tailors. The resulting products tell a story by dint of their appearance. Moreover, they are proving themselves in practice, just like their historical role models did, to be highly functional and to offer the highest comfort – no matter what the activity.
