Men jeans shirt

The raw denim for this shirt is woven at Kuroki in Japan, one of the top addresses for such fabrics. Blaumann makes the slim-fit shirt in a very classic way with two breast pockets with buttoned flaps, buttoned cuffs and sleeve vents, and a shoulder saddle. All buttons are snap fasteners. The back is worked with shaping darts, the torso hem is rounded.

Künzelsau in Hohenlohe was once a jeans stronghold until a major player in the industry ceased production. Now Christian Hampel, Guido Wetzels, Peter Bättig, and Gerd Walz took up on this tradition. The four friends had one objective in mind when they founded the jeans manufacturer Blaumann in 2013: They wanted to take a pass on chasing short-lived trends; instead, they zeroed in on producing durable goods. What began with trousers includes shirts and waistcoats in the meantime. And classic materials like corduroy complement the denim.

Compromising on materials, however, is still not an issue at Blaumann. The fabrics – genuine Japanese raw selvedge denim and corduroy from a specialised German weaving mill – stand up to the highest demands. Yarns, buttons, and leather labels come from Germany, too. Last but not least, the craft is beyond reproach resulting in garments full of character. You’ll find that a Blaumann piece will turn into a very personal companion through your daily movement, wear and tear.

The garment may rub off onto light-coloured materials such as other garments, furniture and upholstery fabrics.
