A classic Chelsea boot with an over-the-ankle shape and rubber inserts on the sides that give the shoe elasticity and comfort. It sits comfortably on the foot even after hours of wear. Astorflex uses a naturally grained, vegetable-tanned smooth cowhide leather for the upper. The lining and insole are made from supple, vegetable-tanned buffalo leather, which increases comfort and allows the foot to breathe. The padded insole is removable. It can be replaced with your own insoles if required. The outsole has rubber studs that provide good grip on most surfaces. This design is also virtually "self-cleaning", as dirt and debris fall off more easily when walking than with a fully profiled sole. Another plus point is the look: thanks to its structure, the thickness of the sole is low, which gives the shoe a more elegant appearance. A quality feature of Astorflex is the so-called "ideal seam" along the edge of the sole, which makes the shoe flexible and durable.

The beginnings of Astorflex date back to the 19th century. After the First World War, the descendants of the shoemaking family founded the company "Fratelli Travenzoli" in Castel d'Ario, a small shoemaking town in the province of Mantua (Lombardy). From then on, the Travenzolis specialized in making shoes using the "ideal method", in which a visible seam joins the upper material to the insole, making the shoes particularly flexible, hard-wearing and durable. Today, the fate of Astorflex lies in the hands of Fabio Travenzoli, who consistently uses high-quality natural materials in production. First-class Italian leather is used for the uppers, in particular from master tanneries in Tuscany. The lining and insoles are made of soft calfskin, vegetable-tanned in a decoction of oak bark and mimosa. The outsoles are mainly made of natural rubber and only water-based adhesives are used. Astorflex has dedicated itself entirely to "good shoes", as the addition "La scarpa buona" in the shoe manufacturer's logo promises.

The outsole may leave colored marks on the shoe or floor due to abrasion.
