The blouson has its origins in aviation. It entered the fashion world when it was discovered by youth culture in the 1950s—fueled in no small part by silver-screen heroes like James Dean, who wore it in “... Because They Don’t Know What They’re Doing.” The fabric of this blouson is made of pure, certified organic cotton that is coated on the reverse side, making the blouson windproof and water-repellent. The cut is comfortably relaxed, typical of a blouson, with elastic ribbed cuffs at the neck, sleeves, and hem. The blouson fastens with a metal zipper. Two slanted side pockets and an inside pocket with a vertical metal zipper provide storage for small everyday items.

The Cologne-based fashion label Lanius and Manufactum have been working together for many years in a spirit of trust, which is based not least on the convictions shared and practiced by both companies: Both value timeless, minimalist fashion with high quality standards, the use of carefully selected and, where possible, certified raw materials and high standards along the textile value chain. It therefore made sense to join forces and develop a joint collection. You can recognize these garments by the label sewn into the inside and the discreetly embroidered symbol in the color "Electric Blue" on the outside.
