Mens Cotton Shorts 1962
Robust Shorts. Following a proven model
To make shorts out of long pants by cutting off the legs is a proven process. Pike Brothers used it on cotton pants in 1962. Apart from the leg length, the cut details of the shorts are therefore the same as for the long version: strong herringbone fabric, distinctive stone walnut buttons, two patch pockets each in the front and back, the latter buttonable, and buttoned waist tabs in the waistband for width adjustment.
Pike Brothers. Tried and Tested but Not Stuck in the Past.
The Pike Brothers label from Bad Feilnbach in Upper Bavaria proves with garments inspired by textiles from the world of workwear that form and functionality are not mutually exclusive. While creative minds in other companies have to work out their cuts, the Pike Brothers collect, dissect and finally reconstruct historical originals from a wide variety of workspaces. Different material requirements and cuts are taken into account on a one-for-one basis. Fabrics are reissued in collaboration with traditional weaving mills. Finally, the Pike Brothers have the garments made by hand from selected European tailors. The resulting products tell a story by dint of their appearance. Moreover, they are proving themselves in practice, just like their historical role models did, to be highly functional and to offer the highest comfort – no matter what the activity.
