Men’s Handkerchief Handrolled

The classic. White handkerchief with hand rolled hem.
A really great men's handkerchief, woven from lightweight white cotton batiste and carefully hand rolled. This traditional way of working the hem is elaborate, therefore has become rare and is also reflected in the price.
Folded, the handkerchief fits well in the breast pocket of a jacket or in the pocket of pants and is then by far not only for the original and well-known purpose at hand. For even those who do not use it for blowing their nose can put a cloth handkerchief to good use. For example, to discreetly dab one's lips at a standing reception, to wipe one's hands on the way, and last but not least, to wave goodbye with it on the train platform. This cloth handkerchief from Pellens & Loick is suitable for all the above purposes. The fine raw material comes from Malaysia, processed, carefully cut and rolled in Hungary.
Fine Handkerchiefs by Pellens & Loick, the Well-Established Tie and Scarf Manufacturer.
Hermann Pellens and Johannes Loick had a good sense of style and unmistakable instincts for men’s fashion trends. They found inspiration for their designs in the pulsating metropolis of Berlin and identified the city’s infrastructure as offering ideal conditions. Hence, they set up a company and entered into the production of men’s accessories in 1870. They took charge of the ties’, scarves’, and handkerchiefs’ designs but soon moved the production to northern Italy. At Lake Como, silk weaving and printing had a long tradition; however, Pellens & Loick adamantly had all accessories designed at the company’s German headquarters, based in Aalen in Baden-Württemberg by then.
In 1947, Pellens & Loick set up their handkerchief production in Aalen. From weaving, cutting, and hemming to ironing, folding, and packaging, everything took place under one roof at the foot of the Swabian Jura. Still, competitive pressure from cheap products and trending soft tissues forced Pellens & Loick to give up handkerchief weaving. They looked for new business partners that would produce handkerchiefs and pocket squares according to Pellens & Loick’s high-quality standards and find them in Hungary, among other places. Meanwhile, a small Hungarian textile company produces the majority of the handkerchiefs – from fabrics woven in Europe (more precisely in Austria, Portugal and the Czech Republic), while a limited number is produced in Malaysia. Picking and packing (ironing and folding included) is still in Aalen.
