This jacket combines the basic cut and make of a classic men's jacket and the soft processing of the so-called light jacket - although in this case the term "light" is to be understood with regard to the French word "léger" and does not mean the heavy moleskin fabric from workwear specialist Kindermann, which is used for this garment. The cotton used comes from controlled organic cultivation. In the front area, the jacket is worked without reinforcing bracing with horsehair inserts: The front falls softer, the lines appear more flowing, without the jacket losing its stand. The absence of shoulder pads also results in a smooth transition into the sleeves.

Since 1946, Regent has been manufacturing jackets and suits in Weissenburg, Bavaria, which are tailored by hand in Germany. Since 2017, the traditional company is under new management, but nothing has changed in the way of working. Regent is still convinced that a garment is more than the sum of its parts. No wonder, then, that the manufactory resembles a large tailor's workshop: in addition to the machines, which of course exist there, it is still the human hand that determines the pace of the work. In a patient, expert manner and with skill, the employees wield needle and thread, scissors and iron. But before the sewing comes the design. All patterns are designed by a patternmaker at Regent. These are transferred to the fabric by hand before the cutter reaches for the tailoring scissors to cut out the individual parts. It goes without saying that these fabrics are consistently of the highest quality, given the effort that Regent puts into them.
