Similar to a parka in terms of cut: rather long and with a hood. The lightly coated outer fabric matches the look and feel. It consists of a good half recycled polyester and just under half cotton - a blend that gives it a distinctive woven structure and a "textile" feel. The jacket is padded and the lining with horizontal quilting seams ensures that the warming filling stays in place. The lining and padding are made entirely from recycled polyester. The hood, which has no drawstring, is also padded. The jacket is fastened with a two-way zipper with a wide, buttoned, wind-repellent facing. The cuffs can be buttoned in two widths using the straps. Two patch flap pockets and two slanted slit pockets with metal press studs can hold small items for everyday use.

Spanish designer Javier Goyeneche has found his own way to combat raw material waste. Since 2012, his label Ecoalf has been producing fashion made from recycled fibers. A key project is “Upcycling the Oceans,” founded in 2015, in which more than 4,000 fishermen and fisherwomen from Spain, Thailand, Greece, Italy, France, and Egypt now recover plastic waste from the ocean. This waste is transformed into yarn, which is then used to create clothing, shoes, and accessories. In addition, Ecoalf is also involved in recycling textile fibers, specifically cotton and wool—and finally, Ecoalf has also mastered the challenge of repurposing old car tires as outsoles for shoes.
