A classic work boot, as it was common around 1900 and worn by generations of workers day in, day out, is the model of this ankle-high shoe. The upper, a strong oiled cowhide, protects the foot from moisture and dust penetration. Inside, the shoe is lined with soft calf leather. Good and comfortable fit is provided by the last used, whose round toe offers pleasant freedom of toes. The upper and bottom of the goat-stitched shoe are connected by two (visible) seams, which makes it stable and durable. The lacing runs through four pairs of eyelets and three pairs of hooks, which on the one hand favors convenient donning and doffing, and on the other hand allows a good adjustment to the individual foot shape. The profiled Skywalk sole is slightly softer than comparable rubber outsoles and thus just on wet ground a little more grippy than these.
