It is therefore not surprising that in their scarves and stoles, blankets and bags France and India come together: The designs come from Parisian textile designer Adrien Testard, while they are made in a very traditional way in India. After all, the original shawl (which we understand to be worn more like a stole) once found its way from the Indian subcontinent to Europe. And to this day, this shawl culture is very much alive in India: Yarn dyeing, weaving and printing techniques are passed down there from generation to generation - in three carefully distinguished trades, each of which possesses and guards its own unique know-how.
