The gold for this pendant in the shape of the alchemical sun symbol was extracted from German rivers without the addition of mercury or cyanides; a mechanical channel wash is sufficient to separate the material from the gravel and sand. The bowl-shaped pendant design is based on gold finds from the Celtic period - Celtic bowl gold. The embossing process gives the fine gold, which is soft in itself, more hardness, while the bowl shape of the sun-shaped pendant gives the material greater stability.

Making high-quality crafted jewelry affordable for as many people as possible - with this in mind, goldsmith Martin Guthmann founded his jewelry manufactory in 1906. Today, run by his great-grandson in the fourth generation, the family business still produces entirely in the jewelry and gold city of Pforzheim. In the manufactory, rolled, stamped, drawn and cast parts are assembled by hand into small series. Among other things, old jewelry forms and ornaments from the company's own history are incorporated into the design: they are cast and - using historical manufacturing techniques - transferred to our time.
