Like knives, manicure tools made of carbon steel are harder and sharper than those made of stainless steel – and they can also be re-sharpened. The instruments of this set are made by Niegeloh of Solingen, a company that boasts over 65 years' experience in the production of manicure and pedicure instruments.
The company adjusts all scissor blades and handles and tweezers by hand and tests the functionality and sharpness of each instrument. This rework phase ensures that the blades cut accurately and smoothly.
Carbon steel is a corrosive metal, which is why these instruments are coated with high-gloss nickel. However, we still advise wiping off the blades with your thumb after use.
