That's why this organic wildflower mix from Samen Maier in Austria includes, for example, the red-flowering Kartäusercarnation. Yellow blooms dyer's chamomile and mullein, and the cornflower contributes its characteristic blue.

The beauty of wildflowers: their site requirements are low. Therefore, you can sow this mixture in virtually any lean, nutrient-poor soil in the sun from April to August. Just be sure to keep the soil evenly moist until the seeds emerge. Many of the species included in this mixture bloom already in the first year of standing, some of them even self-seed and reliably reappear the next year.
